Seconds

Making pottery by hand is an inexact science; occasionally even experienced potters will open up a kiln door after a firing and find a few surprises. York Hill Pottery "seconds"—with minor flaws such as an uneven color blotch, a blister in the glaze, or perhaps a missing dragonfly wing—are completely functional and often quite beautiful pieces. Photos of available seconds can  be emailed  on request.
